How are students treated at CCAFPS?

Clothing and board are provided for the students by the school. Students also receive a monthly allowance of 6,245NT.
The rules and regulations concerning the treatment of students are subject to change, and treatment will change accordingly.

Now that the junior high school division of CCAFPS has stopped enrolling students since 2004, the source for senior high school students will be decreased. What does the school plan to do?

Since the junior high school division has stopped enrolling students, the senior high school division will accept students outside the school starting in 2010.
Students can apply to CCAFPS by being recommended or through the register method with their basic competence score.

It is said that the entrance score for applying to CCAFPS senior high school division has risen significantly, why is that? And what and how the new standard be set?

Owing to the limit in the number of the students admitted and the increase in applicants, it is quite natural that the lowest entrance score and student quality will rise as well.

Facing the pressure and challenge of further study in the military school system, students may seek tutors from both inside and outside the school. Where does the schools stand? Are there any supporting or counseling measures?

In this tough, challenging environment, CCAFPS has decided to deploy a series of counseling plans: seniors have an additional class on every subject every weekend, Juniors and freshmen have math, English, physics, and chemistry classes on weekend; We hope to improve our students' learning efficiency completely. Thus, We respect the actions some parents and students take to improve their grades.
Is it possible to let students out of evening self-study periods earlier so that they may have a more flexible study time?
At present, every unit's evening self-study period is from 1930 to 2230, with a reasonable 3-hour study period. After 2230, students may continue to study, but they are to go to bed before 2400, so that they will not be too tired for class the following day.

Can we let students who excel at certain subjects be the teacher's assistant in that subject and help those who did not do as well in those subjects, so that students cooperate and help each other?

Every company is already planning and starting to implement this system of teacher's assistant. We ask that parents encourage these talented students, so that they understand the happiness of teaching others, and to maximize the benefits of this system.

I suggest that juniors take a simulated version of the basic competence test to let them understand what kind of examiniation there are going to be, and to let them better prepared for their senior year.

The study plans for the student classes have already been set and implemented. There are no plans for a simulation test for junior students this semester; however ,the first battalion plans to hold a simulated test during the summer vacation.

  General affairs

Can students use cellular phones on campus?

1. CCAFPS's educational focus is on taking care of our students' daily needs, so that they may focus completely on getting an education. After careful consideration on whether or not students should be allowed to use cellular phones on campus, we have decided not to allow students to carry or use cellular phones on campus for the following reasons:
i.

Our students are young and do not have enough self-control; it is quite possible that they may show off their cellular phones, abuse their cell phones, or blindly follow a new fashion trend (purchasing the latest model). These situations will have a negative effect on the simplicity of school life.

ii. Having a limited allowance, students who use cellular phones have to pay the monthly fee and usage fees which will cut that allowance short. At the same time, if they abuse their cellular phones it will cause their parents' additional inconvenience.
iii. Holding on to a cellular phone on campus is not easy, and management of students with cellular phones is an additional difficulty.
iv.

School life is a cooperative life, and students should study without outside interference; trying to contact friends outside the school could have a negative effect on their desire to learn and study.

2.

Taking into consideration the popularization of cellular phones, we have begun discussing the possibility of allowing students to use cellular phones on campus and the measures we should take in the future. When the time is appropriate we will announce the plans and carry them out.

3.

To meet the current need for students to contact their parents, CCAFPS has installed public pay phones on both sides of every building. If parents have the need to contact their child or their child's unit, each company has his own telephone line .(Set the attached file)

When we visit our children, is it possible for us to enter the campus and have a look around?

Visiting hours are after every meal, and before morning and evening study periods on weekdays, 1200 to 2000 on Saturdays, 0700 to 2000 on Sundays. Taking into consideration the tranquility of our campus and naking sure that our students are not disturbed, we do not allow parents to enter the school campus during weekdays; however, students can bring their parents into campus on weekends and holidays.

How does CCAFPS plan the students' weekends?

1. Seniors: must attend counseling class all Saturday and Sunday morning.
2. Juniors and freshmen have math and English counseling classes every Saturday morning.
3. After each monthly exam, students who scored in the lower 50% in one subject must attend additional classes on that subject on Sunday mornings.

We suggest that the marching band go to less competitions outside the school, so that the student's grades are is not affected.

The marching band annually competes in the national music contest; as to performances outside the school, we have made an agreement with the students that if we are invited to perform during weekdays, we will reject them.
